Waitākere College is seeking applications for a school-based Attendance liaison. The successful applicant will be identifying and working with students and whanau to help reduce barriers to students attending school. The job entails supporting students with chronically absent attendance patterns and helping them and their whanau minimise and/or remove the barriers to attending school. This might include home visits, whanau hui (both in and out of school), writing collaborative action plans, tracking and monitoring data, writing termly reports based on data and cases worked on.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Two years proven experience working with youth and ideally worked within the West Auckland community with whanau
  • Full NZ Drivers Licence
  • Must already be able to work in New Zealand on a permanent basis without the requirement for sponsorship or a job offer.

As per Ministry of Education regulations you will be required to undergo a Police Check.
