AS A DATA ANALYST YOU WILL BE
Responsible for supporting process management and data quality efforts at LeasePlan New Zealand. In doing so, the incumbent performs activities to improve data accuracy and processes throughout the business, enabling daily operations to run in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

The major responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Undertake scheduled and ad-hoc reporting activities as required. Maintain a focus on quality output and consider opportunities to integrate frequent requests into the standard suite
  • Support the development and maintenance of the entity's reporting and analytical platforms
  • Support efforts in ensuring accuracy and improvement in process models, measurement systems and documentation. Map and maintain processes, perform data mapping and data quality checks
  • Provide guidance and assistance to the wider business on opportunities and possible changes to LeasePlan's processes and data management practices
  • Establish strong, productive relationships internally, be respectful cross-functionally, and collaborate effectively and professionally through regular communication

Essential

  • Good working knowledge of the MS Office application suite, with strong Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of at least one Business Intelligence or analytics platform (e.g. Tableau,
  • Power BI)
  • Proficient in data manipulation and analysis tools such as Excel including the use of pivot
  • tables, formulas and charts
  • Demonstrated capability in SQL with some understanding of Python or R
  • Demonstrated understanding of distributions, regressions and hypothesis testing
  • Ability to interpret data and identify trends, missing data, outliers and inconsistencies
  • Ability to translate business requirements into analytical tasks
