Data & Insights Analyst – Takapuna

Provident Insurance is a small, values-led company based in sunny Takapuna. We're growing fast into direct channels and building the next stage of our data capability—and we're looking for someone who loves variety, collaboration, and getting things done.

The Opportunity

You'll work across the whole business: claims, product, underwriting, marketing, and the exec team—turning data into insight that drives smart decisions.

This is a role for a hands-on generalist who enjoys shaping data, building clear, useful reporting in Power BI or Excel, and writing SQL. You'll be close to delivery and to the people who use your work every day, not buried behind layers of process.

A typical week might include…

·       Building or improving a Power BI dashboard or Excel report that helps a team see what's really happening.

·       Analysing campaign, product, or customer data to spot patterns and opportunities.

·       Helping project owners test and launch new products or services with the right information at hand.

·       Writing SQL to pull, clean, and combine data from policy, claims, and marketing systems.

What you'll bring

·       Three to five years' experience in a data or insights analyst role, ideally in a commercial or customer-focused environment

·       Strong SQL skills and confidence with Power BI and Excel.

·       Curiosity, accuracy, and the ability to translate data into plain English.

·       A collaborative style—you like working with people as much as with data.

·       Comfort working mostly on-site in Takapuna with a friendly, close-knit team.
