Grocery Manager/Buyer

PAK'nSAVE Richmond will offer you a diverse and challenging environment where the successful candidate will have the passion and expertise to deliver in conjunction with the Store Management team, the overall sales and financial targets for the store.

The position is accountable for:

  • Ensuring sales and financial targets of the Grocery Department are met
  • Purchasing stock through DC and direct supplier channels
  • Forward planning promotional activity
  • Using SAP to set up display activity
  • Meeting with sales reps and merchandisers on a daily basis
  • Purchasing new products
  • Completing shelf relays to align with category strategy and insights

Along with the passion and commitment to succeed you will possess:

  • A high level of proven analytical skills
  • A high level of proven organisation and planning skills
  • FMCG management experience at a retail or supplier level
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Experience with operating systems such as SAP and Microsoft Excel
  • The drive to further your career
  • Desire to lead by example when required on the shop floor
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Good time management
  • Exceptional attention to detail
