About the Role Available
We currently have a permanent Rope Access Field Supervisor role available in Auckland, reporting to the Business Unit Manager.
- Minimum of 40hrs of work per week, including Monday to Friday and weekend shifts
- Hourly rate of pay $45 per hour, with the right certifications.
Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Supervisory:
- Supervise and coordinate abseiling cleaning teams on-site, ensuring adherence to project timelines and safety standards.
- Conduct site assessments and pre-job inspections to identify hazards and plan work processes.
- Ensure all staff are trained, certified, and compliant with IRATA and relevant health & safety regulations.
- Act as the point of contact between clients, office staff, and field operatives.
- Monitor and evaluate performance of team members and provide on-site coaching when required.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of abseiling and cleaning equipment.
- Respond to incidents, accidents, or safety concerns promptly and thoroughly.
- Maintain detailed records of daily operations, job progress, and any incidents.
Assist in scheduling and deployment of technicians and resources based on project needs.
Support recruitment and onboarding of new field staff as required.
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution.
- Conduct site meetings, provide progress updates, and manage client expectations
- Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve on-site issues in a timely and professional manner.
Project & Budget Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage rope access cleaning projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and control project budgets, ensuring efficient use of labour, materials, and equipment on site.
- Monitor job costing and profitability, ensuring projects/jobs stay within financial targets.
- Provide detailed reporting on project timelines, milestones, and financial performance.
- Forecast labour and material requirements for jobs within budget limits.
- Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs without compromising quality or safety.
- Initiate and execute permit process (SWMS / WORKSAFE / JSA) ready for the manager to review.
- Assist with project / job Scheduling. Accurate input on labour hours to ensure cost efficiency.
General:
- Building Wash via abseil including Roof Washing and Gutter Cleaning
- Exterior Commercial Window and Screen Cleaning via abseil
- Assist other trades with accessing challenging areas (e.g., construction installations, repairs) via abseiling or Elevated Work Platforms (EWP).
- Water Blasting
- Glazing and Window Replacement
- Building Repairs, Painting and Restoration Work
- Manage Pigeon and Pest Control
- Perform Silicon and Joint Repairs
- Other related duties as may be assigned.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a valid IRATA Level 3 Certificate or IRAANZ equivalent
- Holds a Full Drivers Licence
- Has a minimum of 3yrs relevant Rope Access experience
- Has at least 2yrs' supervisory experience
- Ideally holds a valid NZ EWP Certificate
- Demonstrates strong Health and Safety Awareness
