WireMaster Electrical is a Kiwi owned business with over 15 years of experience in all electrical sectors. From new builds to renovations, power point installations to data networking including repairs and maintenance for residential, commercial, and industrial, we service a wide variety of clients.

Our business is growing fast, and we are keen to get an extra set of hands to help continue this trajectory of growth. We're currently looking for a 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice to join our team to work across Queenstown and Wanaka.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with residential pre-wire, fit-off, testing and commissioning
  • Install and terminate wiring systems, fittings, appliances, and switchgear
  • Read and interpret electrical plans and site documentation
  • Work safely and efficiently under supervision and/or independently where appropriate
  • Communicate professionally with clients, builders, suppliers and team members
  • Maintain tidy work areas, tools, and company vehicle/equipment
  • Complete job documentation, timesheets, and material lists accurately
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and site requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Currently a 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice
  • EWRB Trainee Licence required
  • Solid experience in residential electrical work (new builds and/or renovations)
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision on standard tasks
  • Good understanding of NZ Electrical Regulations and safe work practices
  • Comfortable using hand/power tools and common test equipment
  • Able to read plans and follow instructions accurately
  • Positive attitude, reliable work ethic, and a willingness to learn
  • Eligibility to work in NZ (Citizenship or Residency)
  • A clean NZ Drivers Licence
  • High standards of professionalism and personal presentation
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment police check
  • Currently residing in Queenstown or the Southern Lakes area or looking to relocate.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday with variable hours (typically 7:30am - 5:00pm), however we do have some flexibility with work hours when required.
