Accountant - 6 months contract

Location : Auckland

Description

This is a 6 months contract role to support client billing & revenue analysis. Audit will be a component, but client billing is the major focus.

Job specification

• Reporting to the Finance Manager

• Accurately calculate and record monthly net revenue accruals to ensure financial statements reflect the true financial position of the company.

• Prepare and issue client invoices in accordance with contractual agreements and company policies, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

• Coordinate and perform month-end closing and resolve issues in a timely manner ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Develop, implement, and oversee financial controls to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and enhance the accuracy of financial reporting.

• Support the Finance Manager in preparing for and conducting both local and group financial audits, providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

• Provide financial expertise and support for strategic projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation of project outcomes.

• Assist in the integration of financial processes and systems where applicable, ensuring smooth transitions and consistency in financial operations.

• Undertake any other finance-related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Finance, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.

• Proficient in intermediate to advanced Excel functions.
