We have 300 staff globally with operations in the United Kingdom and New Zealand and have experienced significant growth over the past three years, with expansions into Germany, Denmark, and most recently, the United States of America and Switzerland. The Group Finance Team is based out of New Zealand, and we are looking for a Financial Analyst to be part of our exciting journey.

About the role

This key role, which is based in Auckland, will report to and work closely with the Group CFO and is responsible for analysing performance of the company and its key performance drivers, allowing the organisation to make well-informed commercial decisions.

What you'll be doing

• Analysing current and past financial data at a site and business unit level.
• Looking at current financial performance and identifying trends across the Group.
• Preparing reports on the above information and communicating the insights of these reports to the wider business.
• Collaborating with and providing month end support to the APAC finance team as required.
• Suggesting improvements based on detailed performance analysis.
• Developing financial models and providing financial forecasts for Group entities.
• Developing initiatives and policies that may improve financial growth.
• Various support/project tasks as required.

What we're looking for

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar financial analyst role, preferably in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
• Experience with statistical analysis and financial forecasting.
• Attention to detail and the ability to identify data patterns.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to present complex information clearly.
• A team player who takes "ownership" of the role.
• A high level of personal organization.
• Experience with Sage Intacct or a similar ERP system is preferable.
• Experience with PowerBI is preferable.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work in our office in Penrose, Monday to Friday.
