Class 5 Drivers required for container transport

We are looking for Class 5 Drivers to join our day and night shift team based in Auckland to help with continued demand. Successful applicants must be fit and able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment. 2 years of previous driving experience is required. Full training will be given to the ideal candidate. This is a great opportunity to work in the freight industry and to enjoy a great team environment.

Job Description:

  • Maneuvering vehicles into position for loading and unloading

  • Loading and unloading vehicles using lifting and tipping devices

  • Observing safety requirements when loading and unloading vehicles

  • Making regular quality checks of vehicles to ensure they can be driven safely

  • Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight

  • Ensuring goods are stowed and securely covered to prevent loss and damage

  • Verifying loading documents, checking the condition of goods and obtaining certification for deliveries

  • Roaster day & night shifts

Pay rate - $33 to $35 per hour

Weekly minimum 30 to 40 hours

Full time permanent position

  • Consent to a criminal history check to ensure suitability for the role.

A clean driving & criminal record and the ability to pass drug and alcohol testing are essential conditions of employment.
