Are you ready to take on a dynamic role in an international environment?

EF Auckland is looking for an enthusiastic Accommodation Manager to lead a dynamic department overseeing both host family and residential accommodations. This role plays a key part in ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our international students, while continuously improving accommodation standards and overall customer experience.

As Accommodation Manager, you'll oversee student placements, manage and grow our host family network, and ensure the quality of our residential accommodation. We're looking for someone who brings energy, flexibility, and new ideas to help meet the needs of our students.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Student allocation

• Arrange suitable accommodation at least 12 weeks in advance
• Allocate students based on age, gender, and nationality
• Confirm new bookings and handle booking modifications

Host Family Recruitment

• Recruit host families in accordance with EF policies
• Perform visits and processes & maintain homestay database records
• Train host families on EF standards and hosting responsibilities
• Develop and execute host family recruitment strategies (e.g. social media, ads, events)

Host Family Management

• Act as the main point of contact for host families
• Create successful matches between students and host families.
• Complete routine and drop-in visits
• Process and maintain accurate homestay records

Residence Management

• Manage all residence bookings, including buyouts and additional room requests, maintaining constant communication with the residence staff
• Work with the Residence Advisor to build a strong student community and ensure high-quality living experiences

Student Support

• Handle student queries regarding accommodation
• Ensure students feel safe, comfortable, and supported
• Liaise between students and homestay providers, and EF sales offices overseas
• Support host families and students in resolving issues, handling crises, and helping students adjust to their new environment
• Monitor student satisfaction and respond to feedback

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Work with EF's international sales offices and school staff regarding student logistics, welfare, and disciplinary matters
• Liaise with the finance department to ensure prompt and accurate payment to accommodation providers

On-Call Duties

• Share responsibility for emergency phone coverage with other permanent staff, to ensure support is always available to students

What we are looking for:

- Full Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking) 

- Additional languages are a plus 

- Strong communication skills with students, colleagues, and external partners

- Mature, caring, and appreciative of cultural differences

- Organised and solution-oriented with attention to detail

- Ability to handle difficult situations with ease

- Remains calm and positive under pressure 

- Thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment

- Target-driven and motivated by working towards goals and deadlines

- Experience living, working, or studying abroad is a plus  

- Must have full working rights in New Zealand
