Campus Life is a Service Division that supports an engaging and inclusive campus experience for students at The University of Auckland. Campus Life operates a range of ‘wellbeing services’, such as Accommodation, Counselling and Health Services, that are aimed at removing personal barriers to academic success. It also operates ‘engagement’ services such as support for student organisations, social and sporting events, volunteering and leadership support that are aimed at helping students to maximise the non-classroom dimensions of the university experience.

The University of Auckland’s Ngā Wharenoho - Accommodation department is the largest operator of student accommodation in New Zealand. We house over 4500 students in a range of accommodation styles. Our primary goal is to build and nurture a safe, supportive, enjoyable community for our student residents.

**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

The **Night Supervisor** supports the evening management of Accommodation across residences within the University focusing on high quality health, safety, wellbeing and security support while delivering good administration support.

This is a client-facing role and point of contact for all administrative and facility coordination of the Accommodation, attending to residents during the night and upholding community standards. Health, safety and security leadership is critical to this role by ensuring safety and emergency protocols and procedures, responding to crisis situations and providing first aid treatment if needed. In support of the Resident Manager, this role will assist in looking after student welfare and providing advice to residents in achieving success in their studies with high degree of respect for privacy and confidentiality.

**He kōrero mōu | About you**
- Preference will be given to those with First Aid Certificate and full, clean NZ driver’s licence. Minimum of Level 2 Certificate in Security (NZQA recognised) and Certificate of Approval are optional requirements to this role.
- With knowledge and basic understanding of the security systems, CRM and databases and Building Health & Safety compliance
- Good public relations and communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge, including software such as Microsoft teams, outlook, and SharePoint (training will be provided).
- Physically fit
