The Role:

The Quality Team ensure our fantastic miniature apples get to our customers round the world in top condition. In this role you will:

  • Enable the end-to-end quality framework across the organisation providing quality products that meet customers agreed specifications.
  • Be actively involved in packhouse and packaging compliance activities.
  • Raise and support quality improvement initiatives across the organisation.
  • Provide cover for the Packhouse Quality Lead when required
  • Support and promote the quality culture within the packhouse/coolstore environment.

This role is full time (40 hours plus per week) and is a 12-month fixed term Parental Leave cover. Flexibility regarding hours of work is required to meet seasonal Coolstore and Packhouse production hours which may include evening and weekend work.

You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand and be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Skills and experience required:

  • Full training is provided, just bring your positive attitude:
  • 5+ years quality experience in packhouse or orchard environments
  • Team player with good people and relationship management skills
  • Capable user of Microsoft Office
  • Organised and proactive
  • Flexible in terms of working hours
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • The ability to adapt quickly to changing situations
  • Proactive commitment to health and safety
