As a Site Reliability Engineer, your focus will be on ensuring our SaaS platform is highly available, reliable, and performs at its best to deliver an outstanding customer experience. You'll work on building and maintaining scalable, resilient systems, automating operations, and monitoring performance to stay ahead of potential issues before they impact customers.

You'll collaborate closely with R&D to refine our infrastructure, processes, and best practices, while also providing feedback on challenges and opportunities. Your work will directly contribute to continuous improvement, helping us evolve our platform and deliver even greater value to our customers.

What you'll be doing:

  • Take all steps to ensure 99.95% availability to all customers and deliver to customer specific SLAs where applicable.
  • Ability to listen, anticipate and take ownership of customer concerns and provide advice to influence customers to use our standard approach to implementation and configurations.
  • Advise the customer to achieve the fastest user experience whilst understanding any existing investment the customer has made in automating their environments.
  • Ensure our customer data is secure and managed within the varying legislative environments, including ISO27001 certification, in which TechnologyOne and our customers operate.
  • Contribute to the design, development and automation of infrastructure for the delivery of our software, hosted apps or business systems to internal and external customers.
  • Clearly articulate technical issues to non-technical audiences, sharing information and educating teams to expand their technical knowledge and capabilities.
  • Drive efficient utilisation of systems resources by developing an in-depth understanding of our monitoring tools in order to lower operational costs through automation, simplification and new efficiencies.
  • Lead peer reviews and keep an open mind in receiving constructive feedback about proposed solutions.
  • Provide clear and regular communication to customers and other stakeholders on progression of tasks and escalation of issues.

Your Talents…

  • Degree in relevant discipline and/or industry experience
  • Proven experience in SRE/Systems Engineering
  • Ability to lead projects and provide guidance & mentoring to team members
  • Understanding of SQL and/or Postgres
  • Experience creating and managing dashboards using Grafana to visualise, monitor, and analyse system or application metrics
  • Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to effectively and maturely communicate and negotiate in writing and verbally with stakeholders across all levels
  • Strong and demonstrable customer service orientation
  • Thorough and comprehensive troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across highly technical environments
  • Highly developed analytical skills
