Mō te tūnga | About the role 

The Practice Manager Community Support will be responsible for leading and developing services that support and enhance whānau wellbeing and engagement in the communities they live in. This will be achieved by ensuring quality service delivery for the group of services in the portfolio and in partnership with their Service Delivery Manager will identify growth opportunities for service delivery both internally and externally. The Practice Manager will work closely with the Engagement and Communications team in fostering and maintaining exceptional relationships with ATWC donors and partners.

You are a proven leader who is passionate about strengthening whānau wellbeing and building resilient communities. You ensure services are culturally responsive, trauma informed, and aligned with Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, while using data and evidence to drive continuous improvement. Skilled in staff development, you foster professional growth through coaching, supervision, and learning opportunities. You are confident representing your organisation in community forums and stakeholder engagements, and your professionalism ensures contract requirements are met with accuracy and integrity. Above all, you are committed to empowering whānau and enhancing engagement across the communities you serve. 



Skills And Experiences

Qualifications

  • A qualification in social work or a similar discipline

Experience

  • Experience in leading a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage culturally responsive services
  • Experience in service design performance monitoring and continuous improvement
  • Strong background in stakeholder engagement, including working with donors, partners and community groups
  • An interest or experience in community development concepts

Skills

  • Strong relationship building skills across diverse teams and communities
  • Strong leadership and staff development capabilities, including coaching and supervision
  • Ability to use data and insights to inform decision making and improve outcomes
  • Skilled in project coordination, collaboration and problem-solving
