About the role:

We are seeking carpenters with experience. The West Coast of the South Island offer the best NZ has to offer with stunning scenery, surf beaches, walking and cycling trails, plenty of adventure activities, vibrant, friendly, and connected communities, and an affordable property market when compared with other parts of the country.

Duties:

• Construct new homes and renovate buildings in an efficient and competent manner
• Complete work/contract requirements from plans provided
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism and quality of personal and practical standards
• Attend staff meetings with crew and management team
• Observe all health and safety requirements to ensure a safe workplace

Skills and Experience:

• Carpentry skills with experience within the building industry
• At least 3 years of verifiable experience working as a carpenter is essential
• Licensed Building Practitioner or Trade Certified Carpenter is desirable
• Knowledge of site safety procedures and practices
• Good communication with builders, subcontractors, and clients
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
• Ability to work at height
• Ability to learn new procedures and techniques in line with company building methods
• A high degree of personal responsibility, professionalism and attention to detail
• Teamwork on-site with other trades and apprentices.
• Clean drivers license
