WasteCo NZ Ltd are proud to offer a range of waste management services across the South Island including household and commercial waste collection, specialised medical and quarantine waste handling, industrial and utility services (portaloos, city sweeping, spill response, hydrovac, wastewater), and waste sorting both on site and at purpose-build facilities focusing on recycling and diverting materials from landfill.

About the role

If you are an early bird looking for hands-on practical work, then this Sweeper Labourer role could be perfect for you You'll be out and about across Christchurch, helping keep our city looking its best from Sunday – Thursday 4am – 3pm but not limited to these days or hours, some flexibility will be required.

Your day will include emptying public rubbish bins, tidying alleyways, maintaining pedestrian refuges, and taking on general labouring tasks while taking pride in keeping our city clean and looking its best.

This is a physically active role that's perfect for someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and is proactive with health and safety.

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a full Class 1 driver's licence
• Has a good level of physical fitness
• Brings strong communication and customer service skills
• Is flexible and has great time management
• Is reliable and dependable
• Works well in a team and enjoys having a laugh along the way
