About the role

We are seeking a Practice Lead / Senior Business Analyst to join our Business Technology team and play a pivotal role in shaping how Toyota delivers change. This is a practice leadership role without line management responsibilities…. instead, you will focus on uplifting frameworks, templates, standards, and practices, ensuring our Business Analysts and Project Managers are set up to deliver consistently and effectively.

Our BA practice currently has a solid framework in place, but it is in its early stages. This is a rare opportunity for someone to build, refine, and embed best practice, making a real mark on how Toyota approaches business analysis and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Define, implement, and continuously improve Toyota NZ's business analysis frameworks, tools, templates, and standards.
  • Champion the use of business analysis to drive value and innovation across projects and programmes.
  • Mentor and coach Business Analysts and Project Managers, uplifting capability and maturity across the practice.
  • Facilitate BA forums, promote knowledge sharing, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for business analysis across the digital transformation programme.
  • Participate directly in BA activities on strategic projects, ensuring outcomes are fit for purpose and aligned to business goals.

About you - We are looking for someone with:

  • 8+ years' experience in Business Analysis, including at least 3 years in a senior/practice lead/delivery role.
  • Proven experience delivering complex IT or digital transformation projects.
  • A strong track record in developing and implementing BA practices, templates, and standards.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and communication skills.
  • Experience in Agile (Scrum) and hybrid delivery approaches.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on practical outcomes.
