A bit about your role

As the Operations Manager – North Island, you will play a critical role in leading and optimising operations for EasiYo and Canary. Reporting directly to the GM YOBD NI, you'll oversee manufacturing, health & safety, engineering, quality, and supply chain functions to deliver best practice outcomes in cost, quality, and customer service.

You'll set and execute operational strategy, manage budgets, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards. This is a leadership role where you'll work closely with senior stakeholders and lead a large team to achieve both short- and long-term business objectives.

You are a proven operational leader with experience in FMCG or a similar environment. You bring expertise across manufacturing, supply chain, S&OP, procurement, and logistics, and have a track record of driving performance and transformation.

Your strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and ability to engage and inspire teams will set you apart. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, embrace innovation, and are committed to health and safety excellence.

EasiYo is the number one brand in the make-at-home yogurt category globally. Founded in New Zealand in 1992, EasiYo has grown into a strong international consumer brand, with 75% of sales in the UK, Europe, Australia, USA, and Asia. With current revenue of NZ$30M, a passionate team of over 30 people, and the backing of Yili Oceania Business Division (YOBD), EasiYo is well positioned for continued growth.

Canary, based in Hamilton, is a lean and focused business delivering specialist dairy products to foodservice and retail channels in New Zealand, Australia, Asia, the Middle East, and North America. With sales of NZ$40M+ and a team of 65 experienced staff, Canary manufactures and distributes value-added dairy products with an unrelenting focus on customer needs.

Both brands are part of Yili Oceania Business Division, owned by Yili Group—one of the world's largest dairy companies. Together, the group produces over 170,000mt of finished goods exported to more than 40 countries, driving annual revenue well in excess of $1.3B.
