Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate level Quantity Surveyor to join a construction company in Upper Hutt delivering high-quality commercial construction projects. This company offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and development.

About the Role

You will be working across a range of construction projects, from commercial new builds to complex refurbishments up to circa $15/$20M. You will be responsible for end-to-end cost management, procurement, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing project costs from inception to completion
• Preparing estimates, cost plans, and budgets
• Tendering and procurement of subcontractors
• Assessing variations and progress claims
• Ensuring projects remain on budget and within contractual obligations
• Assisting with estimating for upcoming projects

What We're Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience in quantity surveying in NZ
• Experience delivering Commercial Construction Projects
• Strong understanding of NZ building codes and contracts (NZS3910 preferred)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
