Hopeland Properties Limited is a property management company currently managing around 60 residential and commercial properties across Auckland. In addition to property management, we also provide professional gardening services for other companies.

We are now seeking a skilled and reliable Gardener to join our team to take care of the gardens and outdoor areas across our managed properties and client sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular garden maintenance across residential and commercial properties.
  • Plant and replace trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers, and bulbs as required, including replacing dead or damaged plants.
  • Prepare lawn areas by spreading topsoil, planting grass, or laying instant turf.
  • Maintain gardens to a high standard through weeding, trimming, fertilising, watering, mulching, mowing, and seasonal clean-ups.
  • Prune and shape trees and hedges to maintain healthy growth and desired appearance.
  • Assist with the design, layout, and maintenance of high-end residential gardens, ensuring high presentation standards.
  • Assist with minor garden improvements and installations such as replacing edging, repairing garden paths, and adding decorative features where needed.
  • Assess the condition of trees and plants, identify diseases or pest infestations, and apply appropriate treatments.
  • Operate and maintain gardening equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of all outdoor areas across company-managed properties and client sites.
  • Support property inspections by ensuring outdoor areas are tidy and well- presented before tenant move-ins, open homes, or routine inspections.

Skills and Requirements:

  • NZQF Level 4 qualification in a relevant field, or minimum one year of hands-on gardening experience, preferably in residential or commercial property maintenance.
  • Good plant knowledge and understanding of seasonal maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple properties and manage time effectively.
  • Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor work year-round.
