Kiwis love to garden and we love to assist them with their gardening needs. We are looking for an experienced retail sales professional with green fingers and a customer-focused attitude. Your gardening passion may come from time in your own backyard or you may have undertaken horticultural training – either way you will enjoy helping our customers select the right plants, along with all the dry goods and hardware, whether it's fertilizers and pest control or gardening gloves and a wheelbarrow. We are sadly losing a couple of our more knowledgeable team members, so a sound knowledge of plants and plant care is preferred. Our garden centre is a fast-paced area and heavy lifting is required so a reasonable standard of physical fitness is also required.

For this position we are looking for someone who has:

  • Good time management;
  • A quick and alert mind, with the ability to adapt and be flexible
  • Willingness to learn; and
  • Excellent communication skills

This is a full-time permanent position. The successful applicant will be required to work rostered hours Sunday to Thursday.
