We are now expanding our New Zealand operations and seeking two Skilled Skatepark Concreters to join our construction team, building high-quality, architecturally-detailed skateparks for communities nationwide.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Site Foreman, you will perform hands-on construction of complex concrete skatepark elements including precision formwork, concrete placement and finishing to achieve Convic's trademark high-performance surfaces.

Travel to project sites across New Zealand will be required. Accommodation will be provided when sites are located 100 km or more from your place of residence.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Construct, assemble and dismantle custom formwork systems for concrete structures.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Measure, cut and install materials for formwork and moulds with precision.
  • Carry out concreting including pouring, screeding, floating, finishing, polishing and curing to produce smooth, durable surfaces.
  • Apply specialist finishing techniques to produce high quality skate finishes.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet project quality and schedule requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety and environmental standards at all times.
  • Undertake general construction and site duties as directed by the Foreman.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Trade qualification in Concreting, Carpentry or Formwork; or equivalent formal training and proven experience in concrete skatepark construction.
  • Minimum four (4) years' experience in concreting, including skatepark or architectural concrete work.
  • Demonstrated ability to finish concrete to high tolerances and curved surfaces.
  • Proven ability to read and follow plans and technical drawings.
  • Full New Zealand driver's licence (or ability to obtain); WTR endorsement preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety requirements and site protocols.
