Our client is looking to hire a Portfolio Technical Lead who will be responsible for the delivery of technical projects. You will ideally have a development background and have leadership experience in a project environment. This will be a 6-month Fixed-Term or hourly rate contract role and based in Wellington.

  • Strategic thinker with a deep technical background and experience as a developer.
  • Experience with Azure and Microsoft stack.
  • Advocate for the architectural principles such as privacy and security by design, quality, security, and user-centric design.
  • Ensures systems meet security and privacy standards.
  • Champions CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure as code.
  • Familiarity with coding, testing, and deployment practices
  • Understanding of continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
  • Skilled in tools like Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, Docker, etc.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and backlog grooming.
  • Identifies blockers early and mitigates them.
  • Strong communication and collaboration.
  • Decisive under pressure, with a focus on long-term value.
  • Ability to understand and guide architectural decisions.
  • Drives iterative delivery through Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid models.
  • Ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.
  • Translating technical details for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Quickly identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Balancing technical debt, feature development, and stakeholder demands.
  • Bridging gaps between development, project, and business teams.
