PM Freight Loader

The Role

We're on the hunt for a hard-working, safety-conscious professional to join the fast-paced Crossdock team in our Dunedin Branch.

This is an afternoon / evening role with hours typically from 2.00pm to 10.00am. Some flexibility may be required to get the day finished.

What you'll be doing:

• Safely loading and unloading trucks and containers with speed and accuracy
• Working closely with drivers, dispatch and warehouse staff.
• Work efficiently to meet tight schedules and deadlines

Skills & Experience:

• Extensive forklift driving experience in a high-volume controlled operation.
• Your full NZ Class 4 or 5 licence preferred but not essential.
• OSH Forklift certificate essential. F Endorsement even better
• Experience and confidence in loading/unloading trucks and containers.
• Good counting and mathematical skills.
• Experience in checking consignments for damage and correct quantities.
• Competence in completing paperwork and keeping in clean and tidy order.
• You'll have solid computer skills and the ability to learn new technology.
• Commitment to health and safety.
• Fluent in English, with good communication skills.
• Must be fit, healthy and drug free and able to pass pre-employment medical and drug tests.
