About the role:

The Customer Tribe work across ASB Bank to drive automation for a variety of initiatives through specialist software like Pega. The platform is a mix of collaborative experts who simply love enabling automation, making life easy for ASBers and our Customers.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to get hands-on with some interesting and complex pieces of work, all while being part of a smaller squad in our innovation and platform area maintaining a high level of service and availability for all our applications.

You'll provide specialised technical expertise to a range of roles in the platform team and wider stakeholders. You will maintain and enhance our platform through your experience in incident management, and handling Pega applications at scale. You will participate in upcoming streams and proof of concepts to enhance our automation offering.

You'll also work across reviewing requirements and specifications for enhancement builds, security patching, vulnerability support, supporting the build of new environments, analysing, reporting results and supporting our software's scalability.

Location: Wellington or Auckland

Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Salary range: $111,775 to $131,500

About You
You'll have great knowledge and experience in automation engineering, can articulate trade-offs between technologies and influence and challenge the SDLC.

Your positivity, and excellent communication skills enable you to share your knowledge with others and actively participate in building capability wherever you go.

As a starter for success, you will have the following skills and experience:

• Demonstrable Pega development experience
• Extensive delivery lifecycle knowledge
• Experience using knowledge of tech stacks to solve business problem
• Confidence to apply and communicate industry best practices
• Experience in agile methods
• Analysis, design, development, and application deployment of large-scale enterprise application systems in an agile way oof working
• Good understanding of Integration

You're experience enables you to participate in design sessions, write design documents and tailor your communication style to business and technical audiences.

You'll be passionate about sharing your knowledge with other Pega Engineers to build their skills and capability across the Pega Practice.
