About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi

The Market Risk Analyst is a key member of the Investment Risk & Performance team and will contribute to monitoring investment risks faced by the portfolio. You will have a high level of proficiency in applying risk analysis through implementing quantitative models, undertaking research and conducting analytical reviews into the risks faced by the portfolio. 

Reporting to the Investments Market Risk Manager this role works collaboratively with other Investment Group teams to facilitate risk monitoring and support investment decision making. 

This is a Wellington based position.

About you | Mōu

You will have a track record of working in investment funds and demonstrated knowledge in risk analysis, portfolio construction, and performance measurement within an investment environment. 

We'll be looking for: 

• Tertiary qualification in business, economics, finance or other relevant field (e.g. mathematics) 
• A professional qualification in finance or accounting (e.g. CFA).
• Approximately 10 years of relevant investment experience across portfolio management, investment research or investment risk management functions.
• Knowledge of investment concepts, including portfolio construction, portfolio risk analysis, risk modelling, benchmark methodologies, and performance measurement and attribution. 
• Knowledge of approaches for measuring market, credit and liquidity risks for investment portfolios. 
• A high level of experience communicating with stakeholders. 
• Demonstrated experience in writing reports, papers and presentations to governance-level stakeholders.
