About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Operator / Programmer with experience in the joinery or cabinetry industry. Working within a busy production team, you'll be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to produce custom joinery components to exact specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and operate CNC machinery (e.g. Biesse, Homag, or similar) to produce high-quality components.
  • Read and interpret CAD drawings and job sheets to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare and load materials, tools, and fixtures efficiently.
  • Conduct quality checks and ensure components meet production standards.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot machines to minimise downtime.
  • Collaborate closely with the production and design teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience operating and programming CNC machines in a joinery, cabinetmaking, or manufacturing environment.
  • Competent in using CNC software such as BiesseWorks, EnRoute, or similar.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious.
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
