Job Description

How you'll make a difference

Join AECOM as a Water Team Lead in Christchurch, where you'll oversee a diverse portfolio of projects across stormwater, water, and treatment infrastructure projects while guiding a high-performing team. You'll bring a proactive management style and maintain close oversight of project delivery and focus on client relationships. Current work includes a range of stormwater, pumping station, renewals, and infrastructure improvement projects across the region.

• Act as a technical advisor, providing input and guidance across designs and project delivery.
• Ensure high-quality, cost-effective outcomes and consistency across deliverables.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams and provide governance on projects.
• Contribute to the overall AECOM water infrastructure strategy across New Zealand.

Qualifications

The qualities that help you thrive

• Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering (or equivalent)
• Strong focus on project delivery, client relationships, and team leadership.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and confidently to clients and stakeholders.
• Skilled in client management and maintaining professionalism
• Strong technical delivery background, ensuring quality outcomes and practical engineering solutions.
• Established client network and trusted relationships, demonstrating the ability to win work and lead successful delivery teams.
