Auckland CBD, New Zealand Grada Recruitment Full time

Help keep one of New Zealand's largest transport networks safe and reliable.

We're looking for an experienced Structural Assets Inspector with a focus on bridges and related infrastructure. You'll play a key role in assessing structural condition, identifying causes of deterioration, and recommending practical maintenance solutions that keep critical assets performing safely.

The role

You'll inspect, assess, and report on bridges and other major structures as part of a skilled asset management team. This role suits someone who's moved beyond general site engineering into inspection and maintenance. You understand structural behaviour — not just what's happening, but why.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Completing detailed structural inspections and reports
  • Auditing inspection work to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Identifying maintenance priorities and supporting planning decisions
  • Providing technical input for both planned and reactive works

About you

You'll bring around 10 years' experience in civil or structural engineering, with a background in bridges, inspection, or asset maintenance.

What you'll need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Proven experience in bridge or structural inspection.
  • Solid understanding of materials, construction methods, and structural behaviour.

Why apply

This is a long-term opportunity to work on complex infrastructure assets that matter. You'll join a capable and collaborative team, gain exposure to major structures across the region, and open the door to future asset management and leadership pathways.

If you're looking for variety, technical challenge, and work that genuinely makes an impact, we'd like to hear from you.

Apply now – or contact Grada Recruitment in confidence for more details.
