**About the Auckland System Management (ASM) Alliance**

The ASM is an alliance between HEB Construction, Fulton Hogan and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency to operate and maintain Auckland's motorway network. The Alliance is expected to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders as well as suppliers to deliver exceptional outcomes for customers using the Auckland transport system. Estimated project dates are from July 2019 to June 2028.

**The Opportunity**

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on Auckland's infrastructure? We have an exciting new opportunity for a Structural Assets Inspection Engineer to join the ASM Asset and Network Performance team.

As Structural Assets Inspection Engineer, your focus will be on providing best practice asset inspection and identifying cost-effective maintenance solutions. The customer will always be front of mind, and you will strive to ensure that our work causes mínimal system disruption on our networks bridges, culverts, gantries, CCTV masts, high masts, noise walls, retaining walls, tunnels, UDF (Mahi Toi), buildings and dams.

You will have a variety of responsibilities, including (but not limited to):

- Conducting, reviewing and auditing structural inspections in line with NZTA standards.
- Identifying asset management maintenance solutions, long-term strategies, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Planning and overseeing physical works including procurement and resource management.
- Reviewing and inspecting capital works, ensuring defect resolution before completion.
- Supporting incident management by performing reactive inspections.
- Managing and delivering investigation work.

**About You**:

- Diploma in Civil and/or Structural Engineering or higher.
- Minimum 5 years of structure inspection and engineering experience.
- Experience in structures asset management advantageous.
- Contract documentation experience to NZS3910 advantageous.
