About the Team/Service

You will join a collaborative payroll service environment working closely with Payroll, AskHR, HR Managers, Remuneration, Districts, and wider People & Culture teams to ensure employees receive accurate advice and support relating to leave, compliance, and policy.

About you

You will bring: -

Essential:

A commitment to biculturalism and achieving equitable outcomes for Māori

Understanding of the significance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how to apply its principles in your everyday work

Sound knowledge of payroll-related legislation, including Holidays Act 2003, Wages Protection Act, Parental Leave Act, Kiwisaver Act

1+ years experience in payroll or HR environments

Strong Microsoft Office capability (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage competing deadlines, adapt to urgent requirements, and maintain accuracy under pressure

Strong customer service mindset

Desirable:

Experience using AMS Leader Leave Manager

Experience with UKG Workforce Dimensions

Prior experience reconciling or calculating leave entitlements

Understanding of payroll systems, SQL data extraction, or audit processes
