About Us

At Evolve Rehabilitation, we guide and support our clients through their rehabilitation journey, in a safe and structured environment. Through short, medium, or long-term residential support we support our clients to regain independence and re-learn daily activities.

About the role

We're looking for a dedicated Household Assistant/Cleaner to join our friendly team. 

In this vital role, you'll help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff. 

What you'll do:

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all areas of the facility
  • Clean resident rooms and shared spaces with care and attention to detail
  • Support infection control and hygiene practices
  • Safely manage and store cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Help create a positive, respectful environment for residents and visitors

This is a permanent position for 60 hours per fortnight and is located at Evolve Rehabilitation, Gisborne.

About you

We're seeking someone who:

  • Is reliable, self-motivated, and takes pride in their work
  • Can manage time effectively and work independently or as part of a team
  • Has good communication skills and a sound understanding of English (spoken and written)
  • Demonstrates respect, cultural awareness, and professionalism
  • Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
