We are looking to direct employ a part time cleaner for our unique and very special site.  This role is for Saturday - 7am to 1pm, with the opportunity to cover other shifts as they come up.

As a unique heritage site open to the public and tourists alike, cleaners play a key role in ensuring that The Arts Centre's buildings maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Core Duties

  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
  • Cleaning/sanitizing door handles, handrails, and other high touch areas regularly.
  • Cleaning restrooms including but not limited to toilets and urinals, sinks and washbasins, restocking dispensers, emptying trash and changing liners, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures and cleaning mirrors.
  • Spot cleaning walls and doors to remove marks and handprints.
  • Dusting and polishing.
  • Cleaning internal windowpanes and glass fixtures, e.g., balustrades.
  • Before/after event cleans as rostered.
  • Cleaning of office areas, boardrooms, and meeting rooms.
  • Carry out deep cleans when required.
  • Flexibility to cover other shifts is required.

  • Adopt a proactive and professional communication style.
  • Must have a friendly and approachable manner and be comfortable working around members of the public.
  • Work constructively and harmoniously as part of an existing team.
  • Close liaison with the rest of the cleaning team, and the security and site maintenance teams.

  • Cleaning experience
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated; able to work without supervision.
  • High work ethic and a can-do attitude
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Be sufficiently fit and healthy to carry out the requirements of the role.
