We're seeking an experienced and motivated Legal Executive to join our client's well-established and highly regarded legal practice based in Hastings.

Our client is known for their approachable style, strong local reputation, and commitment to delivering high-quality legal services. They're now looking for a skilled Legal Executive to support one of their Directors and contribute to the smooth running of the firm's day-to-day operations.

The Role

This is a full-time, permanent position offering variety and responsibility. Key areas of work include:

• Residential and commercial conveyancing – from straightforward transactions to more complex matters
• Trusts and estate administration – including setup, maintenance, gifting, and probate
• Subdivisions – liaising with surveyors, councils, and other professionals
• Commercial matters – including leases and associated documentation
• General office and legal admin support – including reception, client care, and file maintenance
• Supporting other staff and assisting across teams as needed

You'll be responsible for drafting documents, corresponding with clients and professionals, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to continuous improvement across systems and processes.

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

• Proven experience in a Legal role, ideally at a Legal Executive level
• Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy
• A proactive, professional, and client-focused attitude
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Confidence using legal software and systems (experience with Landonline and InfinityLaw would be a bonus)
• A flexible, can-do approach with the ability to support colleagues and manage competing priorities
