We're on the lookout for energetic, customer-focused Front of House superstars to join our welcoming teams across our three vibrant venues in Kaikōura and Hanmer Springs:

  • Tipsy Foodies – Kaikōura
  • Veight – Kaikōura
  • Tipsy Foodies – Hanmer Springs

As the face of Tipsy Foodies and Veight, you'll bring warmth, professionalism, and personality to every service — creating memorable experiences that keep our guests coming back. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where teamwork, communication, and attention to detail truly shine.

Position Details

  • Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week (up to 50 during peak season)
  • Roster: Rotating shifts (mornings, afternoons, and evenings)
  • Availability: Weekends and public holidays essential
  • Start Date: Immediate or by arrangement

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and seat guests with genuine hospitality
  • Present menus and beverage lists
  • Take accurate orders and communicate them efficiently to the kitchen
  • Serve food and beverages with care
  • Clear and reset tables promptly
  • Process payments and handle cash via POS system
  • Keep the front-of-house area tidy and well-stocked
  • Refill fridges and assist with stock control
  • Handle phone bookings and takeaway orders
  • Support with basic food prep, dishwashing, or deliveries as needed during quieter periods

What We're Looking For

  • At least 1 year of hospitality experience
  • LCQ certificate or willingness to obtain
  • A valid driver's licence is helpful (for food deliveries) but not mandatory
  • Positive, professional, and proactive attitude
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
