About the Role
We have a new Ward Clerk role to provide administrative and clerical support in the smooth running of ward 98 (high-risk inpatient maternity) within Womens Health at Auckland City Hospital.
The Ward Clerk position is varied and involves a high level of customer contact. You will be responsible for the maintenance of patient's files, arranging and monitoring patient movements, communication and liaison, and assisting in ward management functions.
In this role, you will be:
- Involved with a high level of customer contact
- Responsible for the maintenance of patient's files, arranging and monitoring patient movement.
- Communicating, liaising and organising follow up appointments and assisting in ward management
functions.
- Ordering supplied and conducting stocktaking

About you
To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years administrative/clerical experience
- Experience in the health industry is preferred
- Knowledge of hospital systems would be advantageous
- Flexible to do shift work all days of the week
- A positive 'can do' attitude and ability to communicate effectively with staff and patients
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
