Auckland CBD, New Zealand Novii Full time NZ$40,000 - NZ$60,000 per year

Assembly Technician (Part-Time)

  • Great role for recent electrical or mechanical graduates wanting real-world experience
  • 20–30 part-time hours in a modern Morningside workshop
  • Build real technical skills in a hands-on role assembling high-quality lighting products

About Us

Novii is a fast-growing commercial lighting business working with leading designers, engineers and property owners across New Zealand. We're known for our high standards, technical capability and strong project delivery.

Our team culture is positive, supportive and collaborative — we back each other, take pride in quality work, and are committed to continuous improvement. With solid growth ahead in 2026, it's an exciting time to join the team.

About the Role

Working from our Morningside office and warehouse, you'll be part of the team responsible for configuring, assembling, testing, and quality-checking our lighting products before they go out to clients.

This is a part-time position (20–30 hours per week), and applicants must be available across at least four days, Monday to Friday.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Assembly and configuration of lighting products
  • Product testing and quality assurance
  • Supporting workflow across multiple simultaneous projects
  • Coordinating with colleagues to ensure smooth, timely project delivery
  • Assisting the Warehouse Manager with stock control and inventory movements
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace

A forklift licence is an advantage but not essential.

About You

You don't need lighting experience — we'll teach you that — but you'll thrive in this role if you bring:

  • A practical, hands-on approach and confidence using tools
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
  • A reliable, organised working style
  • Good communication and willingness to work collaboratively
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills

We offer a supportive team culture, a high-quality working environment, and opportunities to grow your capability and career inside a fast-moving business.
