Role Overview

We're looking for a hardworking and reliable Housekeeper to join our team at a busy, high-energy LyLo. This role is essential to ensuring our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. You'll be part of a supportive team that values efficiency, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. The position involves a mix of room cleaning, laundry duties, and maintaining shared spaces. No previous experience required, you can learn on the job

Minimum 20 hours per week.

Typical shifts run from 8am to 3pm, with occasional afternoon/evening shifts from 2pm to 8pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of guest rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and staff facilities to hostel standards
• Restock supplies such as toiletries, linen, and cleaning products as needed
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management
• Follow health and safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linen and towels

What We're Looking For

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (Preferred but not essential)
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-occupancy setting
• Reliable and punctual, with a positive attitude and team spirit
• Must have valid working rights in New Zealand (Minimum 6 month+ Working Holiday Visas)
