As our Drainage and Plumbing Business Unit continues to grow, we are in need of a Quantity Surveyor/Civil Quantity Surveyor/Construction Administrator/Project Coordinator to join our expanding team in Auckland.

Metro Plumbing Ltd is the leading provider of drainage, plumbing and gas fitting in New Zealand. We now have over 50 employees and 10 years of specialisation and experience in plumbing, gasfitting, and drainage for mansions, terrace housing, low-to medium-rise apartments, and commercial projects.

THE ROLE

In this office-based role, you will play a pivotal part in estimating and managing drainage and plumbing projects, ensuring seamless communication and execution to drive project success.

Communicating effectively with clients, engineers, project managers, and Council/Watercare, both internally and externally, to achieve the required outcomes.

Ensuring the coordination including schedule, cost, scope, and risk constraints are managed effectively to provide the best possible outcome.

ABOUT YOU
  • A relevant diploma/degree in Construction
  • Relevant work experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Civil Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
  • Skilled in office software tools (such as MS Excel, Outlook)
  • Well-organised and disciplined
  • Ability to prioritise tasks
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage change
  • Able to identify where things could go wrong and initiate backup plans (Risk Management)
  • Seek continuous improvement and be able to work in an open manner
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin, both verbal and written
  • Appropriate rights to live and work in New Zealand
