About us

General Travel is an inbound tour operator business with a family focused approach to our team and colleagues. With a history 52 years in the making, we are still an owner-operator private business with very hands on owners. We sell New Zealand tours to a wide range of markets overseas and many types of travel. This role is in our FIT department.

Qualifications & experience

  • Experience using Tourplan
  • 2+ years specific inbound FIT experience
  • Good organisation skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge of New Zealand geography, places, attractions and tourism spots

Tasks & responsibilities - the entire file from start to finish

  • Creating and quoting itineraries
  • Booking and confirming
  • Liasing with suppliers and offshore agents
  • Pricing the tours correctly
  • Creating itinerary scripts and document preparation
