Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Kaiako - Te Ao Haka / Te Reo Māori at Pacific Advance Secondary School in Auckland. The Kaiako will be responsible for teaching Te Ao Haka and Te Reo Māori to students, developing lesson plans, conducting assessments, and providing feedback to students. The role also involves collaborating with other teachers and staff, participating in school events, and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Te Reo Māori and knowledge of Te Ao Haka
  • Experience in teaching or tutoring BUT If unexperienced teacher but matatau i roto i nga pukenga haka me te reo, nau mai.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop lesson plans and assessments
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Passion for education and commitment to Māori culture
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and certifications BUT If your experience and enthusiasm over rides quals we are interested.
