About the role

This Machine Operator role is a fantastic opportunity to join the team at this leading food manufacturer based in Mount Maunganui. You will play a vital role in the production process, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of key machinery to manufacture high-quality food products. You are required to work two days, two nights, then four days off

What you'll be doing

  • Responsible for the set-up, operation, and monitoring of production equipment to manufacture food products
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and quality control standards to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the manufacturing process
  • Fulfil responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain machinery
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to upholding quality standards
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment
  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and do both day and night rotations
