Our Opportunity:
We now have a vacancy for a self-starting, experienced appliance service tech for West Auckland region providing technical expertise to our valued customers. Our Customer Service Technicians perform service calls and repairs of our products in our customer homes providing "Best in Class" customer service.
We recognise the importance of ongoing training and development, and you will also have the opportunity to share your knowledge with others in the wider team. We also understand the importance of juggling a busy lifestyle, so we do our very best to work with our people to provide a good work/life balance, making sure we have the time to create Moments of Delight in our homes as well as in the workplace.
Days and Work Hours:
What would work for you? We understand that in today's world lives are busy for you and for our customers, so why stick to the traditional work hours. We are open to flexible working hours that work for both you and our customers. Our schedules normally run from Monday- Friday.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Repair and fully test the operation of the product ensuring full customer satisfaction.
Develop and maintain superior product knowledge across all product lines through all training media, service manuals and training sessions.
Complete all paperwork and documents related to service work and cash collection.
Maintain and manage spare parts inventory.
What you will need:
Essential experience in appliance repair and troubleshooting
Essential: Relevant New Zealand Electrical Qualifications – minimum EASQ (Electrical Appliance Serviceperson Qualified)
Essential registered Electrical Licence (GAS licence- advantageous)
Desirable: Experience with cookware diagnostics and repair
Preferred: Hands-on experience in electrical fault diagnosis and fixing
Strong communication skills and strong PC skills
Ability to provide premium customer service
Clean criminal history and driver's license
Must be physically fit and healthy - a pre-employment medical will be conducted
Open to relocation after completing a 3–6 month induction and training period
