Licensed Cadastral Surveyor
We're working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary consultancy with several offices across the North Island, who are on the lookout for a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor (LCS) to join their growing Tauranga team. Known for delivering high-quality land development and infrastructure projects, they're seeking a senior-level professional who can lead cadastral survey work and contribute to the ongoing success of the business.
With a strong project pipeline across the Bay of Plenty and beyond, this is an opportunity to take on a leadership role while enjoying a balanced lifestyle in one of the country's most desirable regions.
The Role
As a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor, you'll take full responsibility for the cadastral components of a range of land development projects. You'll work alongside experienced planners and engineers, manage survey teams, liaise with clients and councils, and provide oversight on quality and compliance. This is a pivotal position in the Tauranga office, and you'll also have the opportunity to influence processes and mentor junior staff.
What You'll Bring
- Licensed Cadastral Surveyor (LCS) registration in New Zealand
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in land development and cadastral surveying
- Strong technical knowledge of subdivision, land transfer surveys, and LINZ requirements
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end project delivery with minimal supervision
- Experience using Landonline and modern survey technology
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to deal with clients, contractors, and local authorities
What's On Offer
- A senior role with real influence and autonomy
- Competitive salary + relocation assistance if moving to the Bay of Plenty
- Health insurance and a strong emphasis on work-life balance
- The backing of a larger North Island network, with support and collaboration across offices
- A modern working environment with up-to-date technology and systems
- Long-term career opportunities as the business continues to grow
Whether you're based in the Bay already or looking for a lifestyle move to Tauranga, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a senior surveying role within a well-run consultancy that values expertise and initiative.
