Tauranga, New Zealand Beca Full time

Surveyor or Survey Technician

**The opportunity**

We have an opportunity for a vibrant surveyor to join our high-performing Tauranga-based Survey team.

This opportunity will see you taking ownership of the delivery of survey projects and working autonomously or as part of a team to ensure the delivery of quality projects within time and budget.

While your focus will be the Bay of Plenty, you are joining a large multidisciplinary firm where you will find the opportunity to be involved in large and varied national and international projects working with utilities, transport, and local government clients. We will give you the tools, support, and most importantly, the right level of challenge to enable you to excel in the role.

**About you**

Having a couple of years of experience in the survey profession, you have a good level of understanding in GNSS, robotic total stations, Landonline and survey software, as well as having a decent proficiency on 12d and understanding of AutoCAD. Laser scanning, UAV, and other reality capture experience will be valued.

More importantly, we are looking for someone who embraces challenges, promotes innovation, and leads with a mindset of continual improvement. You will be a value-driven person who enjoys sharing the successes of your colleagues and delivering excellence for your clients. You will have a desire to grow your skills and develop yourself professionally, as well as assist with mentoring and developing junior staff.

**What we offer**

A career with Beca will provide you with:

- Professional development opportunities.
- Access a modern fleet of equipment, including Scanners, UAVs, GNSS, and TPS, supported by an extensive suite of software tools beyond the standard.
- A supportive and caring work environment where you can bring your whole self to work.
- Flexible working arrangements to balance your personal / family commitments.
- Opportunities to learn from our industry experts and technical gurus on the project or get stuck with our national technical development group, drawing on our best ideas to keep Beca at the forefront of survey technology.
- A highly supportive environment of sharing and collaboration.
- Excellent benefits are provided to all staff - including discounted health insurance, gym membership discounts, and many social club events.

Beca prides itself on supporting a diverse and inclusive culture - open to inputs from creative people of all genders, ethnicity, identity, thoughts and experiences.
