About the Role

We're looking for a skilled Consent and Planning Manager to work closely with architects, draftspersons, and construction teams, ensuring projects move smoothly from concept to consent lodgment. You'll bring resilience, adaptability, and a strong sense of urgency—always keeping the customer front of mind

Duties:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the preconstruction team (three direct reports)
  • Perform planning and feasibility assessments during the preconstruction phase
  • Ensure projects transition from detailed concept development to consent lodgement efficiently.
  • Create comprehensive budgets and schedules for the project
  • Oversee variations to consents during construction, ensuring compliance and documentation accuracy
  • Effectively collaborate with design teams, factory staff and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with project regulations and manage potential risks

Skills and Experience:

  • Working knowledge of validating concept designs to ensure they meet structural and construction requirements.
  • Experience in consent applications and the lodgement process
  • Skilled at leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in the environment and priorities
  • Exceptional time management and planning skills, deadline-driven
  • Excellent communication skills – personable and articulate
  • An understanding of Building Codes and legislation is advantageous
