We have a vacancy for a Health Care Administrator. In this role you will be supporting both our reception and nursing team who provide quality primary health care to our community. We are a busy urban practice in Ngongotaha, an outer suburb of Rotorua and are committed to providing the best support, care and advice to improve the health and wellness of our community.

This is a permanent part-time position, 32 hours per week Monday – Thursday. The successful applicant will have a sound understanding of working in a clinical environment (experience in General Practice preferred), be a team player who is able to communicate effectively and have the ability and empathy to relate to our diverse patient population.

Key skills required are:

· Understanding of a clinical environment

· An excellent communicator, oral and written

· Patient focused approach – with excellent customer service skills

· Be willing to develop and learn skills in a supportive environment

· Able to work autonomously and take ownership of allocated tasks

· Committed to quality improvement and professional development

· Computer literacy – Microsoft Office

· Ability to build rapport with empathy

· Be highly organized and efficient with an ability to prioritise and multi task

· Have a friendly and compassionate disposition and enjoy being part of a fun and friendly team

· Be able to cover annual and sick leave of other team members

Knowledge of Indici would be an advantage, but training and orientation will be provided to the successful applicant.
