Machine Operator

With on-going growth & development across New Zealand are fortunate enough to offer our employees a stable working environment and on-going hours. We are looking for a Class 1 Loader & Digger/Excavator Operator for our Hamilton Organics Centre at Wickham Street, Frankton.

This Permanent full-time role will see you working within a small close-knit team that covers for each other and works well together. In doing this role, you will pick up a lot of skills, do different tasks throughout your day and never get bored with what you do. This is a low-pressure role working in a relatively pleasant environment with green waste in our organic yard.

As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial part in the running of the site, where you will be responsible for:

• Operating the Loader & Digger/Excavator in a safe and efficient manner
• Completing daily vehicle check (VCR's) to ensure your machinery is safe to operate
• Communicating with customers and directing them where to off load safely
• Being mindful of hazards, and ensuring all employees & visitors are safe
• General site maintenance which includes tidying up site & common areas

To do this job well, you will need:

• Driver licence Class 1 full
• Experience operating Loaders, diggers/excavators ( or keen to learn to operate them)
• Working knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety
• Ideally, comfortable using computer systems especially the weighbridge software
• A supportive and respectful attitude towards others

All new Operators will be given a full training, induction, and a competency assessment.
