The opportunity

  • Lead the delivery large infrastructure projects and shape the future of our District
  • Empower and mentor a talented team, driving innovation in water services and capital works.
  • Drive positive change for our communities by delivering essential water infrastructure projects.

To set you up for success, you'll have

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience.
  • Experience in contract documentation (eg. special conditions, specifications etc.), and the preparation of detailed reports including estimates.
  • Knowledge of local government legislation and statutory requirements relevant to this role.
  • People management skills and experience.
  • Liaising with other teams and departments, consultants, contractors and organisations (e.g. BOPRC, TCC).
  • Understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and Iwi expectations and experience project matters relating.
  • Current driver's licence.
