Driving quality and safety in youth mental health support
Youthline Auckland is looking for an experienced and passionate Clinical Quality & Project Specialist to help strengthen the quality, safety, and impact of our youth mental health and wellbeing services.
In this role, you'll work closely with the Helpline and Quality Teams, leading projects and initiatives that enhance service delivery, embed best practice, and ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people who reach out for support.
You'll bring clinical expertise, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to help shape the systems and practice that sit behind Youthline's frontline mahi. From conducting clinical reviews to driving improvement projects, supporting reflective practice and providing clinical coverage on Helpline shifts, you'll play a vital part in ensuring our services remain safe, consistent, and effective.
About the role
Support continuous improvement of Youthline's 24/7 Helpline and clinical services.
Conduct clinical quality reviews and contribute to policy and practice development.
Lead and support service improvement and innovation projects.
Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders across Youthline.
Contribute to training, reflective practice, and the development of staff capability.
Provide clinical support and shift coverage as required on the Helpline as part of the frontline team.
About you
You'll be a registered health or social service professional with:
A current practising certificate (e.g. HPCA, NZAC, DAPAANZ, or SWRB registration).
Proven experience in youth mental health, telehealth, or related clinical settings (telehealth experience preferred).
Strong understanding of quality improvement and clinical governance.
Excellent communication, relationship management, and reflective practice skills.
A passion for supporting rangatahi and improving youth wellbeing across Aotearoa.
Flexibility and readiness to complete Helpline clinical shifts when required.
